Winter Weather Accessories Drive

We’re collecting donations of handmade, new and “like new” warm winter hats, scarves, gloves and mittens for adults and children until Saturday, February 14th. We’re hoping to distribute at least 150 warm items to community members in need at the Love Your Library Open House - help us reach our goal! Find the donation box near the circulation desk of the Rockland Public Library during open hours.

Share the love; share some warmth!

Friends volunteers run The Book Stop, a treasure trove of old and new, gently used donated books in all genres, as well as DVDs, CDs, and puzzles - all at bargain prices!

Located on the lower level of the Rockland Public Library, The Book Stop is open year-round, Monday through Saturday, 10am to 1pm.

Donations of nice quality items for re-sale are gratefully accepted. All proceeds support the library.

Friends of Rockland Public Library Katie Syrett Scholarship Fund

Congratulations, Gracie Stevens and Reese Novicka!

In the spring of 2025, the Friends of Rockland Public Library successfully inaugurated its Friends of Rockland Public Library Katie Syrett Scholarship Fund, created to recognize the role and contribution of the Rockland Library in the lives of local students. The scholarship, set up in recognition of a longstanding member of the Friends, was created to assist students of RSU 13 who plan to continue their education after high school graduation.
